The two blokes keeping the lights on. Come say kia ora — no question's too half-baked.

Patrick Sullivan

Patrick Sullivan

Hibiscus Coast, Tāmaki Makaurau

Patrick's spent the better part of two decades wrangling infra, cyber, networking and AI — first keeping small Christchurch businesses running through the earthquakes, then building bank-grade security at IBM and Westpac over in Sydney, then five-odd years at Google Cloud, where he wound up as Field CTO and the bloke the government rang when the technology got complicated. These days he runs Millwater Consulting up on Auckland's Hibiscus Coast, helping Kiwi businesses adopt AI without doing anything they'll regret later. Builder first, advisor second, allergic to slideware. When he's not shipping something he's usually losing a game of chess online and telling himself it was a good learning position.

Leith Caldwell

Technical Lead · In Game Collectables
Ōtautahi Christchurch

Leith is a game developer by trade and temperament. He came up through Canterbury with a first-class comp-sci degree, then spent a good chunk of time in Tokyo doing postgrad study and making video games, before coming home to found Cloudfire Studios — where he wrote, coded, produced and marketed his own way to shipping Starport Delta in 2020. Along the way he's led tech teams at Synty Studios and put in the better part of two decades building web platforms at PatronBase. Now Technical Lead at In Game Collectables in Christchurch, he's the one who actually builds the things — and has strong, usually-correct opinions about how software ought to be made.
